A leading public transport operator in Singapore is seeking an Executive Engineer / Senior Engineer to support governance processes in engineering. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance to governance processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering is required, along with strong leadership skills and a good understanding of risk governance. The role involves working in SMRT Maintenance Depots and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
SMRT Trains Ltd was incorporated in 1987 and operates Singapore's first mass rapid transit system. Today, we manage and operate train services on the North‑South Line, East‑West Line, the Circle Line, the Thomson‑East Coast Line, and the Bukit Panjang Light Rail Transit. The Executive Engineer / Senior Engineer in the Engineering Governance Branch shall be responsible to support the governance role for the SMRT Engineering Governance Processes including asset modification, changes in maintenance regime and risk acceptance. He/she shall be required to have good understanding of the governance processes and provide support to internal and external stakeholders. This shall include ensuring compliance to the governance processes, review of submissions and coordination of the respective approval forum to ensure appropriate risk identification, evaluation and acceptance for operations activities.
Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering or equivalent from a recognised institution.
Previous Railway System or risk governance experience would be advantageous.
