React JS - Frontend Engineer - Legacy System
Job summary
A leading technology consulting firm in Singapore is seeking a React JS - Frontend Engineer for a 12-month contract. The role involves developing scalable frontend applications, communicating technical information to diverse audiences, and working in a team-oriented Agile environment. Strong experience in React JS (version 18 or later) and project experience in the banking sector is essential. Interested candidates can apply via email or directly here.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in frontend development using React JS (v18 onwards).
- Familiarity with tools like Visual Studio, JetBrains Rider, and Chrome DevTools.
- Project experience in the Banking sector is required.

Role: React JS - Frontend Engineer
Duration: 12 months contract
Location: East, Singapore
- Communicate highly technical issues to non-technical audience.
- Earn good reputation of being technically strong in the organization by solving problems others struggle.
- Development and delivery of React JS and/or (TypeScript, RxJS, Reactive Forms, Routing).
- Understand business / system requirements and translate them into technical solutions that are scalable, stable and fit for purpose.
- Tackle very complex legacy defects that mediocre developers cannot analyse/solve.
- Ensure adherence to the bank standards (including code, security and performance).
- The role provides exposure to Wealth Management systems.
- Analysis, designing, coding, and implementation of complex and custom-built applications.
- Work collaboratively with team to achieve goals. Experience working with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum, and/or SAFe.
- Experience in following best practices like Test-Driven Development (TDD) and continuous Integration (CI).
- Investigate and resolve production issues to help maintain a stable production environment; remain cool and effective in crisis.
- Frontend development with React JS (v18 onwards)
