A construction management firm in Singapore is seeking a Project Coordinator to oversee project execution and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include preparing blueprints, coordinating with government agencies, monitoring site progress, and managing subcontractors. Job Description & Requirements
1. Prepare and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, layouts and other visual aids.
2. Coordinate with various Government agencies and utility authorities for initial site clearance and set up site office
3. Report on daily issues to Project Manager / Construction Manager
4. Plan, schedule and monitor work progress at site
5. Continuously ensure adherence to planned timeliness
6. Maintain and monitor quality controls
7. Prepare and submit all daily and weekly reports as required
8. Ensure safe work procedures and environmental control measures are implemented on work site
9. Prepare method statements and other submission
10. Checking drawings and quantities and ensuring that the calculations are accurate for the work
11. Liaising with consultants and/ subcontractors engaged in the project
12. Supervising and monitoring the site labour force and monitoring the work of subcontractors
13. Overseeing quality control and safety matters on site and ensuring that regulations are adhered to
14. Preparing complete, accurate and timely submittal logs for construction projects based on project drawings and specifications.
15. Accountable for receiving approved submittals from and notifying the Project Manager of potential schedule impact.
16. Assist Project Manager by preparing all necessary backups relating to change requests.
17. Distribute contract documents to subcontractors, including drawings, specifications, and general conditions. Include any accepted alternates or addendums with documents.
18. Schedule all required construction meetings with required personnel subcontractors, architects and owners
19. Prepare correspondence with client, architect, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, etc. Examples of referenced correspondence include, but not confined to the following items: Schedule of values, project schedule, memos, request for information (RFI), transmittals and submittals.
20. During Construction Phase, proactively manage project to achieve quality, schedule, budget and safety.
21. Utilize and maintain tools: schedule and document management to track and record project performance.
22. Planning work to ensure that materials, machineries, authorities’ approval and sites condition are ready before the work starts.
