A leading marine services company in Singapore is seeking an experienced professional to manage key accounts, prepare business proposals, and negotiate ship repair contracts. The ideal candidate will have at least 5-8 years of relevant industry experience, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of the ship repair market dynamics. This role requires the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and the capacity to collaborate across international cultures.
This position is for PaxOcean Group, a company under Kuok Group Singapore.
Position summary
The candidate for this role needs experience managing key accounts and strong communication skills to interact well with stakeholders. They'll handle making business proposals and presentations customized for clients. Plus, they should be skilled in negotiating and sealing ship repair contracts, demonstrating their ability to close deals effectively.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Experience in key account management and strong communication skills are essential.
Responsibilities include preparing business proposals, negotiating ship repair contracts, and identifying new market opportunities.
Communication and collaboration with stakeholders, including commercial operations and legal teams, are vital.
Familiarity with ship management companies and commercial ship owners’ operations is preferred.
Tasks involve attending technical meetings, handling contractual matters, and estimating project costs.
Client prospecting, and efficiently managing ship repair commercial discussions.
Gather market intelligence and information from different sources to complement business forecasts.
Degree in Engineering or other disciplines
At least 5-8 years of relevant industry experience, including a minimum of 5 years in sales or commercial roles and preferably with knowledge and experience with ship repair.
Able to read and understand basic engineering terms and applicable technical and commercial information, including business proposals
Possess a good understanding of Ship repair market dynamics, customer needs, competition, pricing strategies, and sales techniques.
Driven with determination and initiative to prospect for new key clients.
Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently and interface with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced ship repair environment.
Possess outstanding communication and presentation skills.
Able to travel internationally on short notice.
Able to collaborate seamlessly across boundaries and international cultures.
