A local preschool education organization in Singapore is seeking a Preschool Curriculum Writer to develop high-quality curriculum resources for preschool settings. Responsibilities include designing curriculum plans, producing educational materials, and collaborating with teachers to gather feedback. Candidates should have a diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education and proven experience in preschool curriculum development. Strong writing skills in English and proficiency in Google Workspace are essential. This is a 1-year contract role with potential renewal.
About the role
We are seeking a Preschool Curriculum Writer to develop high quality, age appropriate curriculum resources for a preschool setting. This is a 1 year contract role supporting lesson design, documentation, and teaching team enablement.
Design and write curriculum plans for preschool levels, aligned to centre goals and child development outcomes.
Produce weekly and term plans, learning experiences, provocations, and activity guides with clear objectives and differentiation.
Create teaching resources, printables, learning stories templates, observation prompts, and assessment tools.
Ensure curriculum supports holistic domains, language and literacy, numeracy, motor skills, social emotional learning, and inquiry.
Collaborate with centre leaders and teachers to gather classroom feedback and refine materials.
Maintain consistency in tone, format, and quality across curriculum packs.
Support bilingual considerations where needed, and ensure cultural relevance for a Singapore preschool context.
Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education, Curriculum Studies, or a related field.
Proven experience in preschool lesson planning or curriculum development.
Strong writing and editing skills in English, with the ability to simplify concepts for classroom execution.
Familiar with EYDF, NEL, or comparable early childhood frameworks.
Organised, detail oriented, and able to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Proficient in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.
Contract: 1 year, with potential renewal based on performance and business needs.
