HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE

• Participate actively in revenue contract negotiations in collaboration with Legal, Sales, Deal Desk, and Revenue Operations teams.
• Engage in routine accounting close activities, including deal reviews, journal entries, reconciliations, reporting, and fluctuation analysis of the company’s balance sheet and income statement, supporting external financial reporting.
• Support the local statutory audit team for filing APJ entity financial statements.
• Communicate issues and recommendations clearly to facilitate better decision-making; interaction with external auditors is expected.
• Evaluate revenue policies to ensure alignment with business goals and economic sense.
• Provide training to business partners and ensure consistent application of policies and practices.
• Revisit operational processes with a fresh perspective.
• Develop and streamline processes using system automation and tools to maximize efficiency and accuracy of revenue accounting systems.
• Ensure revenue controls comply with SOX 404 requirements.

WE’D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING

• BS in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience with a software company is highly desirable; Big 4 experience is a plus.
• Understanding of Software Revenue Recognition and Hardware Revenue Accounting (ASC 605 and ASC 606).
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time and project management skills; proficiency in Excel.
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix team environment.
• Collaborative mindset to resolve complex problems with team members.

Cohesity employees within a reasonable commute (e.g., 45-minute average travel time) work out of our core offices 2-3 days a week of their choosing.
