The MEP Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful planning, management, execution, completion, and handover of multiple MEP projects related to energy efficiency, energy performance contracts, and retrofits for large hotel projects, high-rise towers, and other commercial facilities.
The key responsibilities include ensuring the timely completion of projects within approved budgets, resources, and without compromising on quality and safety, using internal staff as well as subcontractors and sub-consultants. The role involves delivering high-quality, turn-key energy efficiency and renewable energy projects both in-office and on-site.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and deliver maximum value, maintaining a safe working environment and high-quality standards.
- Ensure all technical aspects of the projects comply with contractual and technical specifications, drawings, and BOQ.
- Ensure all specifications and regulations in technical submittals are strictly followed on-site.
- Report work progress and necessary modifications to clients, consultants, and main contractors.
- Supervise all MEP subcontractors, coordinating with clients and consultants for material and installation approvals.
- Coordinate the work of subcontractors throughout different project phases.
- Track and manage related bid summaries, RFQs, LPOs, PDCs, L/Cs, and other relevant documents.
- Supervise construction teams during various phases, ensuring deficiencies are corrected promptly.
- Monitor and control work progress to ensure timely completion within resources.
- Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders to meet project requirements.
Job Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of laws and regulations governing large construction projects.
- Deep understanding of project management methodologies, building codes, and building systems.
- Knowledge of energy technologies, green building, and high-performance design.
- Familiarity with marketing strategies and market analysis is a plus.
- Knowledge of energy efficiency, performance contracting, commissioning, BIM, or green building is advantageous.
- Understanding of MEP construction (electrical and controls), mechanical, electrical, and plumbing techniques.
- ERP knowledge, preferably SAP, is required.
Job Experience
Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience, including 5 years in a supervisory role; GCC experience is a plus.

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Professional registration (MMUP/UPDA) or LEED Certification is preferred.
