- Certification in data protection, such as CIPP/E (Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe), CIPM (Certified Information Privacy Manager), or equivalent
- Strong understanding of data protection frameworks and principles, including GDPR
- Experience conducting data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and implementing privacy by design
