JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary :
Plans and conducts activities concerned with the quality control and quality assurance of industrial processes, materials, and products.
RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITY & AUTHORITY :
- Designs and installs quality control process sampling systems, procedures, and statistical techniques.
- Designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment.
- Analyzes production limitations and standards.
- Recommends revision of specifications when indicated.
- Formulates or assists in formulating quality control policies and procedures.
- Develops the economics of any quality control program when required.
- Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
- Establishes programs to evaluate the precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and facilities.
- Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
- Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.
- Reviews all purchased products or components and provides input to the decision to accept the product and future purchases from the vendor.
- Prepares relevant reports, forms, and verifies the results of quality activities.
- Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management.
- Directs technical and administrative workers engaged in quality activities.
- Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality codes and standards.
- Responsible for the entire quality of production at all operations and projects in coating.
- Maintains company QA programs and QMS, conducts ISO 9001-2015 internal and external audits.
- Performs root cause analysis, preventive, and reactive action analysis.
- Provides quality training to all employees.
- Supervises the entire quality team comprising lead inspectors, QA/QC inspectors, and lab inspectors.
- Responsible for plant qualification, product qualification, and quarterly sample corporate quality approval.
- Handles quality documents like ITP, QAR, NCR, MOC, PCP, COC, and IC.
- Performs other work-related tasks as assigned.
- Complies with all NOV Company and HSE procedures and policies.
BEHAVIORAL SKILLS / COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
- Bachelor of Engineering: Mechanical Engineering.
- 3 to 5 years of related experience in a similar work environment.
- Experience in conducting OCTG products inspection and quality supervision on various corrosion control processes including powder and liquid coating, representing the completion tools assembly. Successful at managing customer expectations and delivering results based on extensive industry knowledge.
