A. Workshop Management Responsibilities
- Undertake the annual, quarterly and monthly production plans issued by the production director, decompose them into daily and per-shift production tasks according to the workshop's production capacity, equipment status and human resource allocation, clarify the production goals (output, quality, efficiency, delivery node) of each process and each position, and ensure the implementation of the production plan.
- Coordinate the connection of all production processes of fitness equipment in the workshop, focus on controlling core processes such as pipe cutting, stamping, welding and assembly, reasonably schedule human resources, equipment and materials, solve problems such as process jams, material shortages and equipment failures in the production process, ensure production continuity, and guarantee the on-time delivery of fitness equipment semi-finished products and finished products to the next link.
- Check the production progress daily, count the workshop's production data (production capacity, efficiency, qualification rate, material loss, etc.), fill in the daily production report, and report to the production director in a timely manner; regularly review the completion of production tasks, analyze production bottlenecks, put forward optimization suggestions, and continuously improve the workshop's production efficiency.
B. Workshop On-site & Process Management
- Be responsible for the standardized management of the workshop site, strictly implement the 5S management standard, standardize the stacking and marking of fitness equipment production materials (pipes, steel, hardware accessories, semi-finished products, finished products), clean up cutting debris and waste in the production site, keep the workshop channels smooth and the site clean, and comply with Malaysian manufacturing on-site management standards and fitness equipment production specifications.
- Standardize the operating procedures of each position in the workshop, formulate standardized operating procedures (SOP) for each process such as stamping, welding and assembly according to the characteristics of fitness equipment production, supervise employees to operate strictly in accordance with the procedures, eliminate illegal operations and rough construction, and avoid product quality problems and safety accidents.
- Promote lean production in the workshop, optimize production processes, reduce production waste (material loss, working hour waste, equipment idleness, etc.), focus on controlling pipe loss and part scrap rate in fitness equipment production, reduce production costs, and improve the workshop's profitability.
C. Quality & Safety Control
- Strictly follow the ISO 9001 quality system, fitness equipment industry quality standards (EN 957, ASTM F1250) and local Malaysian product quality regulations, coordinate the workshop's quality control work, supervise quality inspectors to carry out raw material inspection, process inspection and finished product inspection, focus on checking the welding quality, assembly precision, load-bearing performance and appearance quality of fitness equipment, eliminate batch quality problems, and ensure that unqualified products do not flow into the next process.
- Be responsible for the overall management of production safety in the workshop, strictly abide by the Malaysian, implement the production safety management system, supervise employees to correctly wear labor protection equipment (safety helmet, protective gloves, cut-resistant gloves, protective glasses, anti-smashing shoes, etc.), regularly investigate potential safety hazards in the workshop (such as welding fire prevention, stamping mechanical injury prevention, circuit electric shock prevention, etc.), and rectify problems in a timely manner.
- Organize workshop employees to carry out production safety training and emergency drills (such as fire, equipment failure, personal injury, etc.) to improve employees' safety awareness and emergency disposal ability; be responsible for the initial investigation, reporting and follow-up handling of workshop safety accidents to prevent similar accidents from happening again; strictly implement environmental protection requirements, supervise the environmental protection emissions of processes such as welding and spraying assistance, and ensure that the workshop meets environmental protection standards.
D. Equipment & Material Management
- Coordinate the daily management of the workshop's production equipment (pipe cutting machine, punch press, welding machine, assembly line, testing equipment, etc., adapted to fitness equipment production), supervise equipment maintenance technicians to carry out daily inspection, maintenance and repair of equipment, ensure normal equipment operation, reduce equipment failure downtime, and improve equipment utilization; regularly check the equipment safety protection devices to ensure they are intact and effective.
- Be responsible for the receiving, issuing and control of workshop production materials, submit material receiving applications according to the production plan, standardize the stacking and storage of materials, supervise employees to use materials reasonably, and eliminate material waste and loss; establish a workshop material account, regularly check the material inventory, ensure the balance between material supply and demand, and avoid production impact due to material shortage or waste due to material backlog.
- Be responsible for the classification, sorting, reporting and disposal of waste and scrap in the workshop, standardize the stacking of waste, reduce environmental pollution, and improve the resource recycling rate; supervise employees to properly keep and use production tools (calipers, wrenches, micrometers, etc.) to ensure the tools are intact and accurate.
E. Team Management & Training
- Be responsible for the daily management and scheduling of the workshop's subordinate employees, reasonably allocate human resources to ensure that each position is fully staffed and the division of labor is clear; establish an employee attendance and performance appraisal mechanism, supervise employees' attendance, assess employees' work performance (output, quality, efficiency, safety, etc.), implement the reward and punishment system, and stimulate employees' enthusiasm.
- Organize workshop employees to carry out skill training, safety training, quality training, operation standard training, etc., according to the technical requirements of fitness equipment production, improve employees' professional skills, operation level, safety awareness and quality awareness; guide new employees to be familiar with post operating procedures and equipment use methods, and help new employees get started quickly.
- Pay attention to employees' ideological dynamics, solve difficulties and problems in employees' work and life, create a harmonious, stable and positive working atmosphere, and reduce employee turnover rate; strictly abide by Malaysian labor laws and regulations, standardize employee working hour management, salary calculation, labor contract management, etc., and avoid labor disputes.
F. Compliance & Other Management
- Strictly abide by local Malaysian laws and regulations on labor, environmental protection, production safety and product quality, ensure that the workshop's production and business activities are fully compliant, and cooperate with the factory and local government departments (Ministry of Labor, Production Safety Supervision Bureau, etc.) in inspection and filing work.
- Timely convey various work instructions from the production director and the company's headquarters, implement various management systems, regularly report the workshop's production, quality, safety, equipment, team and other work to the production director, and put forward work improvement suggestions.
- Cooperate with the quality department and technical department to carry out work such as product quality improvement, production process optimization, new equipment commissioning, and new product trial production to ensure the smooth progress of various work; complete other temporary work tasks assigned by the production director (such as workshop rectification, production capacity improvement, material inventory, etc.).
- Perform ad-hoc duties assigned by Immediate Superior.
Requirements:
A. Basic Requirements
- Age: 28-45 years old, in good health, energetic, able to adapt to shift work, able to bear the pressure of workshop management work, and able to deal with emergencies on the production site.
- Language: Proficient in Malay and English for communication, instruction transmission and report filling, and those who can communicate in Chinese are preferred; have basic bilingual reading and writing ability in Chinese and English and can understand documents such as production plans and operating specifications.
- Education: College degree or above, major in Mechanical Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Production Management, Mechatronics, or similar fields. The applicants with workshop management experience in the fitness equipment industry may have the education requirement to secondary technical school level.
B. Experience & Skill Requirements
- Industry Experience: More than 3 years of workshop management experience in the fitness equipment industry, familiar with the fitness equipment production process (stamping, welding, assembly, etc.), process standards and quality requirements, and understanding the basic principles and operation and maintenance methods of fitness equipment production equipment; those with Malaysian manufacturing workshop management experience and familiar with Malaysian labor and production safety regulations are preferred.
- Management Skills: Excellent on-site overall management ability, production scheduling ability and problem-solving ability, able to independently handle various emergencies such as workshop production, quality and safety; have rich grass-roots employee management experience, able to effectively motivate employees, standardize employee behavior, and improve team execution.
- Professional Skills: Familiar with the operating specifications of each process of fitness equipment production, able to proficiently operate the core production equipment of the workshop (such as punch press, welding machine, etc.) or have basic equipment operation and maintenance foundation; familiar with ISO 9001 quality system and OSHA safety standards, able to implement quality and safety control requirements; have basic data analysis ability, able to optimize management plans through production data.
- Compliance Ability: Familiar with relevant local Malaysian laws and regulations on labor, environmental protection and production safety, have strong compliance management awareness, and can ensure that the workshop's production and business activities are compliant, avoiding compliance risks and related penalties.
C. Quality Requirements
