Responsibilities

• Preheats and cleans metals; lays out, cuts and fits material for welding.
• Prepares the fit-up, jigging before clads commenced.
• Identifies parent material and weld consumable correctly.
• Performs welding and cladding, machine operation as per applicable documents related to a Project or Customer (inspection before and during weld).
• Performs related work as required.
• Reports to the welding supervisor and is held accountable for his work.

Requirements

• Minimum 3-4 years of welding experience and knowledge.
• Basic background in welding is preferred.
• If fresh, minimally must have experience working in manufacturing/production area.
• Hardworking, willing to learn and follow instruction.
• Bonus if experience in Manufacturing sector previously.
• Vocational education with good mechanical, electrical or welding knowledge welcomed.
