Overview

At Sasana Waldorf School, education is a journey to awaken the unique potential within every student. We are seeking an experienced Physics & Earth Science teacher who can ignite a lifelong curiosity in the physical world and cosmos through the lens of a Waldorf curriculum.

We teach the full curriculum — just differently. We teach mathematics through movement, rhythm, stories, and hands-on practice — so children feel the logic before memorizing the formula. We teach history through rich narratives, drama, timelines and cultural context — so the past becomes alive and meaningful. We teach geometry through form drawing, hand-drawn constructions and beauty in precision. We teach geography through lived experience — starting from the local and expanding to the world, using maps, stories, culture, nature walks and observation of natural phenomena. We dive deep into each subject through Main Lesson Blocks, focusing on one topic for 2-3 weeks to allow depth, continuity and engagement.

Our students are curious, ready to learn and full of life. They ask real questions. They want to know how things work — and why they matter. They thrive when learning feels alive, purposeful and rooted in real life.

Your Role

• Deliver engaging and lively learning sessions in Physics and Earth Science.
• Guide students through their qualification pathway for further studies.
• Maintain a high level of organization and professionalism in all classroom and administrative duties.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, showing open engagement with the school's educational philosophy.

We’re looking for someone who

• Has a degree in the relevant subject area
• Has previous experience and the ability in High School level teaching
• Is familiar with and has experience in teaching High School Physics & Earth Science
• Possesses good communication skills & demonstrates a good command of written and spoken English
• Has experience or interest in the Waldorf curriculum and is willing to engage with this aspect of the school’s educational philosophy through mentoring and training
• Knowledge of other science subjects is an advantage.
