Job summary

A leading industrial company in Malaysia is seeking a Water Treatment Plant Maintenance Technician to operate and maintain the water treatment facility. The candidate should possess a minimum of SPM with 2-3 years of experience, or a diploma in Chemical or Chemistry. Skills in operating equipment and maintaining compliance are essential. This role requires shift work and offers opportunities for skill development in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in a Water Treatment Plant is preferred.
• EITS Competency holder is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of safe work practices in mechanical and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the IETS/WTP facility and its processes.
• Conduct sampling, monitoring, and testing for compliance.
• Communicate with the plant engineer about the treatment process.

Skills

Ability to operate and monitor water treatment processes

Knowledge of basic tools and equipment

Skill in reading meters and gauges

Education

Water Treatment Plant Maintenance Technician (Shift)

To operate , monitor, maintain and trouble- shoot the IETS /WTP facility and its processes

Perform all aspects of sampling, monitoring, and testing required to maintain compliance.

Maintain open communication with the plant engineer regarding the treatment process and pump operation and malfunction, as well as make recommendation for repairs and improvement of this system.

To comply with related legal other requirement.

Job Requirement:

Minimum SPM with 2-3 years experience in working in Water Treatment Plant OR Certificate related in Water Treatment Plant, OR

Fresh Graduated -Diploma in Chemical or Chemistry or other related course.

EITS Competency holder will be added advantage

Able to work in shift

Have a knowledge in basic tools, equipment, method and safe work practices in the operation & routine maintenance of the mechanical and basic electrical component of the treatment system.

Skill in reading and interpreting meters, gauges and other recording devices and in adjusting control in the operation of the treatment system
