The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for managing and training staff, overseeing daily operations including receiving, storing, and shipping goods, and ensuring accurate inventory control through audits and cycle counts. They maintain a safe and clean warehouse, coordinate with other departments, enforce safety and security protocols, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and assign tasks to warehouse staff to ensure efficiency.
- Hire, train, and evaluate employees, fostering skill development and performance goals.
- Promote a positive work environment and motivate the team to achieve productivity and accuracy.
- Oversee all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, unloading, and dispatch of products.
- Verify deliveries against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Ensure timely and accurate shipping of orders and manage transportation logistics.
- Maintain warehouse machinery and equipment in good working condition.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, performing regular counts, audits, and cycle counts.
- Oversee proper storage and placement of products within the warehouse.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures and regulations for a safe working environment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant warehouse.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.
- Track key performance metrics and use data for informed decision‑making.
- Process and maintain paperwork, shipping documentation, and reports.
- Liaise and coordinate with other departments, such as logistics and procurement, to ensure smooth operations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or equivalent
- Must be a Malaysian citizen
- 3–6 years of supervisory experience in warehouse operations or cold chain environment
- Advanced proficiency in WMS reporting.
- Proven track record of reducing waste/spoilage.
- Competence in Excel, Word, and Outlook for reporting and communication.
- Certification in forklift operation is an advantage
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
- Effective communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Problem‑solving mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
