A logistics and warehousing company located in Johor, Malaysia, is seeking a Warehouse Operations Supervisor to manage daily operational tasks, including Breakbulk and Dry Bulk handling.   • Coordinate and liaise with Ops Exec on the daily WOI requirements.
  • Monitor closely the progress of work orders and keep the Ops Exec informed on regular basis
  • Responsibilities for Breakbulk, Dry Bulk Handling and other operation.
  • Coordinate and monitor container inbound / Outbound planning.
  • Coordinate and monitor Work Order requirements is followed.
  • Coordinate and plan warehouse resources to ensure work orders are closed on time before closing dates
  • Plan and execute operations based on forecasts received from CLT.
  • Daily coordination and work closely with the Operations Executive to ensure that daily Work Order Instructions (WOI) are met. Always triple-check if any uncertainties arise.
  • Monitor the operational progress and closely track the progress of work orders and regularly update the Ops Exec and all relevant departments via email or WhatsApp groups instead of sending private messages.
  • Handle Breakbulk and Dry Bulk Operations and take full responsibility for managing Breakbulk and Dry Bulk operations.
  • To handle the container management. Coordinate and monitor container inbound/outbound planning, with particular attention to detention and demurrage. Ensure container pictures are taken in accordance with the 7-point container checklist.
  • To ensure on the Work Order Compliance and the requirements are followed meticulously and that operations are completed on time, aligning with the targets specified in the WOI.
  • Plan & Manage resource management and allocate warehouse resources to ensure that work orders are closed on time before their deadlines.
  • Manage stock cards and bay plan accuracy: Regularly update the stock card and bay plan, ensuring consistent accuracy.
  • Ensure that LME regulations and Local Warehouse SOPs are always followed. Fully understand the SOPs for all commodities handled at PGU.
  • Update the Daily Operation Report without fail during working hours.
  • Ensure that all checklists are filled out according to SOP requirements.
  • Properly file all documents for audit purposes (Document Management)
  • Communicate with your superior daily regarding operation/shipment arrangements and other activities.
  • Ensure that warehouse housekeeping and cleanliness is carried out as planned and well maintained.
  • Manage and monitor the warehouse occupancy rate, allocating space for import shipments and optimizing space utilization.
  • Ensure that pest control and fumigation activities are carried out as scheduled and are effective.
  • Provide support to Operations Assistants as needed.
  • Lead the monthly stock count activities.
  • Update records of manpower, machinery, daily operation reports, and all other relevant reports daily.
  • Respond to emails addressed to you in a timely and professional manner.
  • Check and record all PPE equipment, update inventory accordingly, and restock as needed.
  • Ensure punctuality in attendance.
  • Manage overtime for yourself and Operations Assistants.
  • Provide hourly updates on operation progress via the WhatsApp group.
  • Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in the warehouse at all times, not just during audits or visits.
  • Allocate 80% of your working hours to on-the-ground warehouse management and 20% to office tasks, with flexibility based on the situation. This ensures proper supervision on the ground (Time Management)
  • Ad-Hoc Tasks: Handle any other tasks as assigned by your immediate superior or HOD
