Job description

Responsibilities

• Oversee receiving, storage, and distribution of goods.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock counts and system updates.
• Ensure stock is rotated correctly to prevent expiry or obsolescence.

Team Supervision

Lead, train, and manage warehouse staff including pickers, packers, and forklift drivers.

Monitor attendance, productivity, and overall performance.

Delegate daily tasks and ensure timely completion of assignments.

Logistics & Coordination

Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with logistics and transport teams.

Ensure timely and accurate order picking, packing, and shipping.

Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments as needed.

Safety & Compliance

Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA or local safety regulations.

Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment.

Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions.

Equipment & Facility Management

Ensure warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) is properly maintained.

Report and follow up on facility issues (e.g., lighting, racking, HVAC).

Monitor and control use of warehouse supplies and tools.

Process Improvement

Identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean or 5S.

Reporting & Documentation

Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, order status, and workforce productivity.

Document incidents, damages, and discrepancies in stock or shipments.

Ensure proper documentation for audits and internal reviews.

Requirements

• Minimum level of education—Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Management and above in any discipline.
• Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor or a similar management position. Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management.
• Proficient knowledge of warehouse policy & procedures. Excellent leadership and organization skills, time management, problem-solving, strong decision-making skills, business acumen, leadership ability and the ability to delegate.
• Able to work with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.
• Being able to read and write in Bahasa Malaysia and English with ease and able to communicate in Mandarin is an added advantage.
• Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate with people from all backgrounds. Comfortable delivering frequent direct written and oral feedback.
• Able to work on overtime where required due to orders surged and at last-minute notification to meet customer's delivery dateline. Also able to work overtime on rest days and public holidays during Shopee Sales Day events or 25th Pay Day Sales or any other events to promote sales by Shopee & TikTok or by any e-commerce platform.
