A leading logistics firm in Malaysia is seeking a Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee daily activities, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate should possess a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics and have 3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations. - Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
- Ensure smooth workflow and timely processing of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Maintain accurate documentation of stock movements and warehouse records.
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to support business needs.
- Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and reconciliation of discrepancies.
- Ensure accurate updates of inventory in the ERP system.
- Lead, guide, and supervise warehouse staff to achieve performance targets.
- Plan manpower allocation based on operational needs.
- Conduct training on warehouse processes, safety procedures, and equipment handling.
- Coordinate with logistics providers for timely deliveries and collections.
- Plan and schedule dispatch activities to meet customer or production timelines.
- Track shipment status and resolve delivery issues with transporters.
- Implement and enforce warehouse safety rules and housekeeping (5S, OSHA, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Oversee proper handling, storage, and segregation of goods—including hazardous materials, if applicable.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse layout, productivity, and cost efficiency.
- Support implementation of ERP improvements.
- Work closely with procurement, production, sales, and finance teams to align on requirements.
- Support demand planning and material availability to minimize stockouts or delays.
