Job description
Overview

Basic computer literacy and ability to operate warehouse management systems (WMS).

Strong attention to detail, especially when handling quantities, batch numbers, and documentation.

Ability to communicate effectively with Supply Chain and other internal departments.

Preferable: Knowledge of stock control processes.

Preferable: Knowledge of warehousing operations and documentation flow.

Able to operate a forklift (or willing to be trained), and serve as secondary forklift backup.

Education

Minimum SPM or equivalent.

Additional training or certification in warehousing, logistics, or stock management is an added advantage.

Skill

Proficient in basic computer use (Excel, data entry, WMS interface).

Good organisational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records.

Able to perform stock tallying and verification against documentation.

Basic forklift handling skills or willingness to learn.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Experience

Preferably 1 year of experience in warehouse operations or inventory control.

Experience using WMS or digital stock management tools is an added advantage.

Responsibility & Authority

Assist in the implementation and daily operations of the Warehouse Management System (WMS), including:

  • Recording outgoing stocks accurately into the system.
  • Recording incoming goods and ensuring data integrity.
  • Reconciling stock quantities and batch numbers with the Supply Chain department.

Perform stock control activities, including monitoring inventory levels and supporting regular cycle counts or stocktakes.

Tally goods with Delivery Orders (DO) to ensure correctness before receiving or dispatching.

Serve as secondary forklift operator when required.

Report discrepancies, shortages, or stock issues to the Warehouse Supervisor or Supply Chain team.

Ensure proper housekeeping and compliance with warehouse safety rules.
