Job description
Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts for raw materials (silica sand, soda ash, limestone, cullet, additives), packaging materials, and finished glass products.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Monitor batch materials and report deviations affecting production quality.
  • Track WIP materials, including sheets, tempered glass, laminated glass, coated glass, and specialty products.
  • Ensure proper storage conditions, labeling, and FIFO/FEFO compliance.
  • Use the company’s CSP system to record inventory movement (inbound, outbound, returns, transfers).
  • Generate stock status reports for production, purchasing, and sales teams.
  • Monitor safety stock and reorder levels as defined in the CSP database.
  • Analyze consumption trends and prepare forecasting reports.
  • Ensure data accuracy and maintain real-time information within CSP.
  • Coordinate with Production & Procurement: Work with the production planner to ensure material availability for daily manufacturing schedules; communicate potential material shortages or overstock risks; coordinate with procurement to initiate replenishment orders based on CSP thresholds.
  • Quality & Compliance: Inspect incoming materials to verify compliance with specifications; work with the Quality Control team to isolate nonconforming materials; ensure adherence to safety standards and environmental guidelines.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed records of inventory adjustments, scrap, and production returns; generate regular reports (stock status, slow-moving materials, scrap analysis, and production consumption); prepare CSP-based inventory performance dashboards for management.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in manufacturing; glass or building materials industry preferred.
  • Strong proficiency with ERP/inventory systems (SAP, Oracle, CSP-based platforms).
  • Knowledge of CSP program operations—inventory tracking, reporting, forecasting.
