Overview
We are principally involved in the distribution of inspection, test and measurement equipment, materials and engineering solutions. We also manufacture optical inspection equipment, automated handling equipment. In line with the business expansion, we are currently seeking a motivated candidate to fill the vacancy of Vision Software Engineer.
Responsibilities
- Support the setup, installation, and commissioning of machine vision systems for automation and inspection applications.
- Configure and integrate industrial cameras, lighting systems, lenses, and related vision hardware according to project requirements and customer specifications.
- Perform hardware diagnostics and systematic troubleshooting during machine setup, factory acceptance testing (FAT), and on-site commissioning.
- Identify root causes of hardware and system issues and propose effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Assist in the alignment, calibration, and optimization of camera positioning, lighting angles, and optical components to ensure optimal image quality and system performance.
- Support software-related activities including testing, debugging, and basic development using C# for vision applications and system control.
- Work closely with the engineering and project teams to integrate vision systems with PLCs, motion systems, and automation equipment.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including setup guides, test reports, and troubleshooting records.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers during installation, commissioning, and after-sales service.
- Conduct system testing and validation to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Assist in continuous improvement of vision system solutions, tools, and internal processes.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new vision technologies, hardware, and software platforms.
- Perform any ad hoc tasks as assigned by the superior.
Requirements
- At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic/Mechatronic/Computer Science/Information System/Electrical & Robotic or equivalent.
- Candidate with programming experience in Semiconductor/Automation industry is an added advantage.
- Fresh graduates / Junior candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Candidate who likes both software & hardware.
- Knowledge in networking, database or vision systems preferred.
- Familiar with motion and IO control.
- Good analytical and programming skills.
- Possess own transport and willing to travel locally/outstation if necessary.
