We’re looking for a high-caliber professional to join our team as Vice President, Fund Services Ops Collective Investment Services (CIS) Operations Senior Manager (Internal Job Title: Securities & Derivatives Sr Manager - C13), based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

In this role, you’ll manage a team or department that processes orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective is to ensure seamless delivery of securities and derivatives transactions.

Responsibilities

1. Operational Oversight

  • Lead day-to-day CIS operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of fund subscriptions, redemptions, switches, and transfers.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements across all processes.

2. Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including fund managers, distributors, auditors, and regulators.
  • Drive high standards of client servicing, handling escalations and ensuring timely resolution of client queries and incidents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Legal, Compliance, Risk, Product, etc.) to support new fund launches, migrations, and operational changes.

3. Risk & Control

  • Embed a strong risk and control culture across the team, proactively identifying and mitigating operational risks.
  • Lead root cause analysis and ensure proper corrective/preventive actions are implemented following incidents or audit findings.
  • Monitor operational KPIs and conduct periodic reviews to ensure adherence to SLA and regulatory expectations.

4. People Leadership

  • Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing team of managers and analysts.
  • Drive engagement, learning and succession planning initiatives within the CIS function.
  • Promote a collaborative and inclusive team culture aligned with firm values.

5. Process Improvement & Transformation

  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Support or lead implementation of digital tools to streamline CIS processing and reporting.
  • Represent the team in change forums, contributing to system enhancement discussions and operating model redesign.

6. Regulatory & Product Knowledge

  • Stay updated on regulatory developments affecting CIS structures (e.g., UCITS, AIFs, local jurisdictional rules).
  • Ensure the team is equipped with updated knowledge and procedures to meet evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with product or legal teams to operationalize changes required by new fund structures or regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications
  • 6‑10 years of relevant experience.
  • People management experience.
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
