Requirements

  • Able to follow instructions carefully and work well with veterinarians
  • Good communication skills with pet owners and team members
  • Responsible, patient, and calm in stressful situations
  • Prior experience in animal care is a plus but not required

Scope of Duties
  • Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and basic procedures
  • Handle, restrain, and care for animals (feeding, bathing, monitoring)
  • Maintain cleanliness of cages, kennels, and examination areas
  • Prepare rooms, instruments, and equipment for use
  • Administer medications as instructed
  • Support front-desk tasks such as check‑ins, appointment scheduling, and simple enquiries
  • Update patient records and assist with billing when needed
  • Monitor clinic supplies and help with inventory
  • Assist with blood tests for dogs and cats (collecting samples, handling lab equipment)
  • Support X‑ray procedures, including positioning animals and operating imaging equipment under supervision
  • Prepare and set up ultrasound machine before procedures, ensuring it is clean and ready for use
