A leading inspection company based in Rawang is seeking a Vehicle Inspector to ensure that vehicles comply with safety, health, and environmental standards. The ideal candidate will conduct technical inspections, ensure regulation compliance, and communicate effectively with clients. A minimum SPM qualification or a Diploma in Automotive Engineering is required, along with excellent knowledge of vehicle systems. Willingness to travel and strong analytical skills are essential. As a Vehicle Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that vehicles on the road comply with safety, health, and environmental standards. This role involves conducting technical vehicle inspections, contributing directly to public safety.
As a government-recognised entity, PPSB strives to ensure that every vehicle inspected meets the regulations set to protect road users' safety and the environment.
Job Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections in accordance with the Road Transport Act 1987 (Act 333) for both private and commercial vehicles.
Monitor compliance with safety and environmental regulations
Implementation safety and quality procedures during vehicle inspections
Engage with customers to provide clear communication on vehicle inspected
Work collaboratively as part of the PPSB inspection station team.
Job Requirements
Minimum SPM with SKM Level 3, or Diploma in Automotive Engineering
Minimum 5 years of experience in vehicle inspection or an automotive-related field is an added advantage
Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply
Knowledge in vehicle systems, components, and functionality
In-depth understanding of road safety regulations, vehicle inspection standards, mechanical problem diagnostics and emission control systems
Able to plan effectively, organise tasks efficiently, and eliminate unnecessary activities
Professional, with high integrity in performing duties
Able to communicate and present complex issues with assurance and confidence
Strong analytical approach to problem-solving and attention to detail
Based in Klang Valley; willing to travel to inspection sites for projects, meetings, and operational support.
Possess strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
Possession of driving licences B2, D, GDL, and E is mandatory
Medically fit and no colour vision impairments
Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends or public holidays if required
