Job description

To lead & work with Utility Team in performing duties related to maintenance activity and provides technical support in achieving the company's operation KPI.

Accountabilities
  • Ensure safe and smooth operations of the entire Electrical & Utility Installation and monitoring on facility equipment performance.
  • Responsible for the energy management and saving strategy related to electricity utilization.
  • Responsible for monitoring and analyzing causes of machine down time and ensuring all schedule maintenance is carried out on time.
  • Maintain and improve system documentation procedure, policy, work instruction and scope of work as part of the company continuous improvement beyond ISO 9000, GMP and Food Safety.
  • Manage and communicate regularly with all maintenance team, to ensure good two‑way communication concerning maintenance issue inclusive of training and development matters.
  • Liaise with utilities provider or government regulatory bodies such as TNB, Suruhanjaya Tenaga & DOSH and etc to ensure all relevant laws, statutes and regulations related to electrical system and installation are compiled.
  • Ensure successful start‑up of Plant and operation from maintenance perspective.
  • Practice and establish electricity energy reduction to achieve and optimize high energy efficiency in a good result and gain cost saving.
  • Ensure cost effective maintenance and repairs to various utility equipment and machineries.
  • Able to troubleshoot and rectify refrigeration systems using ammonia, R22, R134A.
  • Able to troubleshoot and rectify AHU system, VRV system, aircons.
  • Prepare report, analyze operation data, develop optimal solutions and lead implementation.
  • Execute system verification and calibration in timely manner.
  • Planning, liaise, issuing, maintain document, performance monitoring and ensure any related SAP‑PM and task/project assign are completely done in cost effective, correctly and timely as per schedule.
  • Manage and supervise utility contractors for system installation, improvement, repair and service work.
  • Identify risks and hazards during operation and responsible to all safety procedure and good housekeeping standards.
  • Establish standard procedures and maintain control document related to E&I processes in good filing manner.
  • Ensure that the implementation of Preventive Maintenance and Predictive Maintenance is carried out in a planned, organized and controlled conditions in order to optimize process equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • To participate and make recommendations to improve maintenance and production operations within the E&I perspective.
  • Apply and respect company's and safety rules.
Requirements
  • Diploma OR Degree in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering.
  • Experienced in handling Utility equipment, Process Instrumentation, verification, calibration.
  • Min 8 years of relevant experience in similar / process industry.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skill: proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Ability to assist with interviewing, hiring and training maintenance employees. Planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolve problems.
  • Ability to work effectively with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and instruct others on its operation.
  • Knowledge in Electricity Supply Act and Regulation and IEEE wiring regulations.
  • Good knowledge of system integration and equipment monitoring system.
  • Have good and sound fault find techniques ensuring that downtime is kept to a minimum during breakdowns.
  • Well versed with ammonia refrigeration system & air compressor system.
  • Ability to troubleshoot refrigeration system, AHU systems.
  • Ability to problem solve and respond quickly to user requests and needs.
  • Ability to perform Process Instrument equipment verification and calibration work.
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to handle emergencies and adjust work schedule as needed.
