A recruiting agency is looking for a Support Engineer in Selangor, Malaysia. The role involves monitoring server performance, resolving technical issues, and ensuring service delivery aligns with agreed levels. Candidates should have a Diploma in IT, at least 2 years of relevant experience, and strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Familiarity with cloud platforms and scripting is a plus. Competitive package offered, with 24/7 on-call responsibilities.
Managed Services team in supporting the IT Infrastructure. Your responsibilities include technical administration, support and implementation. You are expected to work with our client to ensure IT Support Services are delivered based on the agreed service level definition, and you are expected to be a fast learner and to acquire technical implementation skills as and when needed due to business requirements. You need to have strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to excel in supporting our customers.
Job Descriptions
Proactively monitor the performance of servers, applications, and security systems to ensure optimal operation.
Identify, document, and resolve technical issues under Incident Management protocols.
Ensure all tasks are executed within agreed service levels, including Service Requests, Incidents, Changes, and Patch Management.
Continuously assess systems for potential enhancements and recommend improvements for deployment.
Prepare, maintain, and share progress reports with both customers and internal operations teams.
Participate in a 24/7 on‑call standby to support operations.
Any other ad‑hoc tasks assigned.
Job Requirements
Minimum a Diploma in IT / Computer Studies or equivalent.
At least 2 years of relevant working experience in infrastructure support is required for the position.
Good Spoken & written proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Able to speak in Mandarin will be an advantage.
Relevant technical certification from the vendors (Citrix, Microsoft, Veean, Acronis, Broadcom, Cisco, Fortinet) is advantageous.
iEnd User Computing solutions (e.g Citrix, Microsoft, ManageEngine)
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) foundation certification.
Ability to prioritize effectively and work with a sense of urgency.
Ability to work independently with a significant "attention to detail.
A team player who effectively communicates with teammates and superiors.
Experience in Identity Management – Microsoft Active Directory and Entra ID.
Experience in Cloud/Virtualization Platform (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP) and some hands‑on skills in scripting language (e.g PowerShell, Python).
