A construction company in Mersing is looking for a Traffic Management Supervisor to oversee daily traffic operations and ensure compliance with safety regulations on active work sites. The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years' experience in traffic control and valid certification. Duties include coordinating with site engineers and local authorities, conducting safety briefings, and monitoring traffic control devices. The job entails outdoor work under various conditions, requiring physical fitness and attention to detail.

Supervise and coordinate daily traffic management operations at the worksite in accordance with approved Traffic Management Plans (TMP).
Ensure all traffic control devices, signage, and barriers are installed and maintained correctly to meet safety standards.
Monitor and guide Traffic Management Operatives (TMOs) to ensure proper traffic flow and compliance with safety procedures.
Conduct site inspections to identify potential traffic risks and implement corrective actions promptly.
Liaise with site engineers, contractors, and local authorities regarding road closures, diversions, and traffic approvals.
Assist in preparing and updating traffic management documentation, including reports, daily records, and incident logs.
Ensure proper communication and coordination with the project team before any lane closure or traffic diversion activities.
Conduct safety briefings and toolbox meetings for the traffic management team.
Report and document any accidents or incidents related to traffic management immediately to the Safety Officer or Site Manager.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including DOSH and CIDB safety requirements.
Qualifications:
SPM, diploma or equivalent required.
Valid Traffic Control Certification (e.g., flagger or stop/slow license) as required by local regulations.
Job Requirement:
Minimum 3 years' experience in traffic control supervisor or site logistics, preferably in construction.
Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and road safety regulations.
Ability to read and understand Traffic Management Plans and site layouts.
Strong situational awareness and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Ability to remain alert and focused in high-traffic environments.
Professional, courteous demeanor when interacting with the public and contractors.
Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and work in all weather conditions.
Working Conditions:
Outdoor work on active construction sites and adjacent public roadways.
Exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dust, and heavy equipment.
PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) must be worn at all times.
May include early mornings, nights, weekends, or shift work, depending on project needs.
