Job summary

A travel service company in Kulim is seeking a Sales Consultant to manage incoming calls and WhatsApp queries, achieving sales targets by converting inquiries into bookings. The ideal candidate is fluent in English and Tamil, possesses relevant education and sales experience, and has strong communication skills. Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of sales experience, preferably in tourism industry.

Achieve sales targets and maximize sales by converting calls and queries into bookings.

Assist superiors with report preparation as and when required.

Ensure the customer database is updated by the team on a timely basis.

Take ownership of complaints and provide appropriate solutions.

Build rapport and manage communication between team with clients.

Draft tour itineraries according to clients’ preferences and provide quotes from our dedicated travel system.

Supervise and co‑ordinate all kinds of travel programmes of the travel agency to ensure smooth itinerary, transportation, accommodation and other aspects.

Participate in market research and analyse competitors and market trends.

Ensure the team has made all reservations and are confirmed before the client’s arrival.

Check clients' itineraries and engage with them during their trip.

Participate in all fieldwork, including, but not limited to, travel fairs.

Job Requirements
  • We are looking for someone who is fluent in both English and Tamil, as the role requires interacting with Tamil-speaking clients.
  • Proficiency in other languages is an added advantage.
  • University diploma/degree, preferably in marketing, tourism management or related majors.
  • 1-3 years of sales experience, preferably in tourism industry.
  • Good communication skills, negotiation skills and customer service awareness.
  • Able to achieve sales target independently with strong self‑driven and teamwork spirit.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of tour consultants to achieve departmental goals.
  • Must be able to travel to Bali a minimum of once a year for a period of 3 weeks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Education: Candidates must possess at least a Secondary/SPM/'O' Level Diploma.
Working Hours
  • Monday – Friday: 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • Saturday or Sunday: Hybrid working schedules
