Job summary

A leading semiconductor manufacturer in Malaysia is seeking a qualified technician for preventive maintenance, failure analysis, and quality assurance. Responsibilities include performing scheduled maintenance, resolving equipment interruptions, and executing outgoing wafer inspections. Ideal candidates will hold a relevant diploma and have at least 2 years of experience or show a strong interest in hands-on hardware activities. The role requires working 12-hour shifts in a cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance for tools.
  • Resolve all equipment interruptions promptly.
  • Troubleshoot and repair all tool issues to minimize downtime.
  • Prepare samples and conduct failure analysis.
  • Execute outgoing wafer inspections prior to shipment.

Job description
PM Responsibilities
  • To perform all scheduled PM for tools in photo module.
  • To resolve all equipment interruptions in a timely manner.
  • To troubleshoot and repair all tool issue, to minimizing tool downtime.
  • To maintain X-site state of tool on time, clock on, clock off and add comments appropriately.
  • To attend pass-down meetings, prepare notes and send report to all Engineering team.
  • To keep Photo area clean, neat and tidy at all times especially after completing PM Job.
  • To establish PM and equipment improvement methodology.
  • Work with manufacturing to meet the production goals.
  • Be a mentor for new Technicians during their On Job Training period.
  • Support equipment engineers activities in improving equipment uptimes and cost reduction programs.
  • To be proactive in resolving tools issues.
FAILURE ANALYSIS TECHNICIAN -FAILURE ANALYSIS
  • To prepare sample, perform analysis and provide timely data to requestor.
  • To maintain the FA equipment in good working conditions, ensure FA lab in compliance to safety requirements and in good house-keeping.
  • To feedback to supervisor on improved analysis procedures for implementation.
  • To provide hand-on training to FA technicians on FA equipment operation and FA techniques.
  • To participate in continuous improvement projects.
QA TECHNICIAN
  • To execute OQA inspection and administration for outgoing wafers prior shipment.
  • To update daily outgoing wafer inspection report, maintain Etest summary, wafer map etc.
  • To ensure continuous support to daily wafer fab out and wafer quality.
  • To highlight or escape OQA defects that exceed DPPM/WRR% or new defect.Sustain SDL compliance and meet lot cycle time.
  • To support visual inspection for incoming wafers.To support visual inspection for obsolete Reticles.
  • To do line troubleshooting related to OQA defects.
JOB REQUIREMENT
  • Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/Chemical/Material Science/Physics or equivalent
  • At least 2 years relevant working experience.
  • Fresh graduates with strong interest and attitude in hardware hand-on activities will be considered.
  • Must be able to work in 12 hours rotating shift (day / night / weekends / Public Holidays) in a cleanroom environment.
