Job description

Overview

To Assist Lecturer in preparing lab for practical sessions and rearranging lab after use.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for Biomedical Engineering lab practical session
• Update laboratory inventory
• Care and maintain laboratory equipment and facilities.
• Set up apparatus and equipment used in laboratory and maintain it in a clean condition.
• Identify and report technical problems related to laboratory materials or equipment to Lab executive.
• Liaise with lab executive to discuss on equipment requirement, disposables item and work plans.
• Perform cleaning, maintenance and calibration on certain laboratory equipment and resolve issues Responsible for the proper upkeep of the laboratory workplace.
• Clean laboratory work surfaces and disposes of biohazard waste in accordance with the departments' west management plans.
• Assists in the completion of laboratory development programmed and work request.
• Assists the Laboratory executives in all duties related to the laboratory.
• Follow laboratory policies concerning dress code, professional conduct, attendance/punctuality, documentation, performance criteria and other directives as issued.
• Complies with all safety/infection control policies and procedures of the laboratory.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
