Job summary

A leading aerospace company in Selangor is seeking a talented Technician to perform various responsibilities, including servicing and supporting customers both in-house and during field visits. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma in Engineering or a related field and 1 year of experience in technical operations. Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills are essential. This role includes manual tasks and occasional travel for field assignments. A performance bonus and other benefits are offered.

Requirement

• Diploma/Certificate in Engineering or related technical field.
• 1 year experience in field service, maintenance, or technical operations ( grads welcomed).
• Basic ability to read technical drawings and troubleshoot issues.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Able to handle warehouse tasks: inspection, material handling, packaging, documentation.
• Physically fit for manual work within safe limits.
• Willing to travel for field assignments.
• Proactive, organized, and eager to learn.

Responsibility

• Receive, register, and track tooling sent in for servicing.
• Provide excellent service and customer support in-house, during field visits, or dispatches with professionalism and courtesy.
• Perform high-quality on-site tasks including installation, commissioning, maintenance, repair, modification, and testing at customer sites.
• Diagnose technical issues based on expertise, drawings, and specifications, then propose effective solutions.
• Continuously improve by keeping updated on new products/services, equipment upgrades, maintenance procedures, and relevant technical information.
• Proactively promote the organization’s products and services during field visits or dispatches.
• Conduct technical training sessions for internal teams and external customers.
• Verify incoming goods through visual and technical inspections to ensure they meet purchase order specifications and refining standards (including PMI, testing, and measurements).
• Tag inspected materials and place them in the designated location.
• Assist with general logistics tasks, documentation, and filing.
• Pick stock materials based on electronic pick lists or urgent verbal requests, and deliver them to specified areas within safe handling limits (manual, order picker, or forklift).
• Package stock and non-stock items according to required procedures for shipment.
• Assist in planning, executing, and improving warehouse and logistics operations.
• Properly store and file all paperwork related to warehouse, tooling, and operational activities.
• Liaise closely with Sales & Marketing and Supply Chain department on product improvement and customers’ feedback.
• Some business travel will be expected to fulfil the Technician role.
• A Visit Report must be completed and sent to all relevant parties in a timely manner.
