Job description

BI Technologies Corporation Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled and dedicated Technician (SMT) to join our team in Kuantan, Pahang. This full-time position will play a crucial role in maintaining and supporting our state-of-the-art Surface Mount Technology (SMT) production line and overall facility operations.

What you’ll be doing

• Perform all production equipment and test equipment programs conversions and set up for the different products to be manufactured.
• Carry out PM for all production equipment and test equipment.
• Maintain optimal operations of all production equipment and test equipment and troubleshooting all problems as they occur.
• Maintain good conditions of all fixtures and jigs used in the production lines.
• May operate milling machine, lathe machine, surface grinder, drill machine or other machine tools to fabricate parts.
• Support cost reduction and quality improvement exercises through the suggestions, participations and implementations in the Lean, Safety Programs, 5S & etc.
• Adheres and supports company Safety and Health policies through the proper usage of PPE.
• Perform other duties assigned from time to time.
• Maintains constant and adequate dialogue with superior to improve communications.
• Adhere and support company safety and health policies.

What we’re looking for

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related technical field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the electronics manufacturing industry
• Strong knowledge and understanding of SMT equipment, including pick‑and‑place machines, reflow ovens, and inspection systems
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical schematics, diagrams, and manuals
• Excellent problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross‑functional teams
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
