Technical Specialist (Digital Transformation)
We are seeking a Technical Specialist for Digital Transformation to lead and support digitalization initiatives across our organization. This role focuses on modernizing manufacturing operations through advanced digital technologies, including machine connectivity, data integration, workflow automation, and smart manufacturing systems. The specialist will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, design solutions, and ensure the successful implementation of Industry 4.0 projects.
Project Execution
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of digitalization initiatives.
- Analyze current workflows and identify opportunities for digitalization and process improvement.
- Develop project proposals, technical specifications, and implementation plans.
- Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and system integrators to deliver digital projects.
System Integration
- Connect machines, sensors, and equipment to digital systems for real‑time data collection.
- Implement and support silo system integration and integration between systems.
- Configure data acquisition, dashboards, alerts, and reporting tools.
Technical Support
- Perform basic programming, scripting, and system configuration where required.
- Set up and maintain databases, APIs, and machine communication protocols.
- Troubleshoot issues related to machine connectivity, data accuracy, and system performance.
- Ensure system reliability, data security, and compliance with digital policies and standards.
Data Analytics
- Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to support performance improvement.
- Create metrics, implement dashboards, performance reports, and visualization tools.
- Support adoption of AI tools, predictive analytics, and digital decision‑making systems.
Change Management
- Provide training to operators, supervisors, and management on digital tools and workflows.
- Support change‑management efforts to ensure user adoption and process consistency.
- Develop SOPs, user manuals, and documentation for systems and digital processes.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Digitalization, Mechatronics, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Understanding of Industry 4.0 concepts, smart manufacturing technologies, and automation workflows.
- Hands‑on experience with PLCs, industrial protocols, databases, and cloud platforms is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
- Experience in manufacturing automation, digital transformation, or IT/OT integration is preferred.
- Fresh graduates with relevant knowledge or internship experience are encouraged to apply.
- Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn new technologies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Detail‑oriented and structured in documentation and system setup.
- Good interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement and training.
Working Conditions
- Based in manufacturing or operations environment.
- May require occasional travel to sites, plants, or vendor locations for project support.
