A leading dairy company in Malaysia is seeking a technician for a shift-based role to support production operations. Responsibilities include troubleshooting machine issues, handling breakdowns, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance. Candidates must have a diploma in engineering and be willing to learn about SAP transactions. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential. This position offers an engaging work environment focused on continuous improvement and teamwork.
This role works in shifts to cover production operations and is required to be attached to the assigned production line as directed by the superior.
Acts as the primary technical support contact for the Shift Production Team (Shift Manager and Operators).
Responsible for attending to line issues or breakdowns, performing primary troubleshooting, rectifying issues, and handing the line back to production.
If an issue requires extended time, escalation or additional support must be initiated according to the Escalation Matrix within the specified timeframe.
Responsible for all Breakdown-related SAP transactions, including:
Responsible for updating shift and line status under their responsibility in the Log Book or Digital System, as directed by the superior.
When there are no breakdowns or issues, required to perform machine and condition monitoring as instructed. Any abnormalities identified must be escalated with proper evidence.
Responsible for completing jobs assigned during the shift and updating job status accurately. Assigned jobs must be linked to ZM02 or ZM04, with proper updates and time confirmation in the respective Work Orders.
Responsible for participating in and executing Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities as planned by the superior in accordance with the UHT PM Plan.
Required to coordinate with the superior or external suppliers to ensure proper execution and completion of PM activities.
Upon completion, job updates must be reported to the superior as part of shift handover.
Responsible for ZM04 SAP transactions, including completing PM activity details and time confirmation, and notifying the superior upon completion.
Responsible for carrying out Weekly Care engineering activities when scheduled during their shift.
Weekly Care activities must be assigned through ZM02 or ZM04, and all related SAP transactions must be completed accordingly.
If line issues prevent completion of Weekly Care, the technician must elevate promptly to the superior and request support.
Responsible for executing Corrective Maintenance (CM) activities as planned by the superior based on identified issues or requirements.
Required to coordinate with the superior or external suppliers for job execution and completion.
Upon completion, job status updates must be reported to the superior during handover.
Responsible for ZM02 SAP transactions, including completing CM activity details, time confirmation, and notifying the superior.
Any issues identified during CM execution must be escalated promptly.
Required to observe line performance after CM completion and proactively recommend improvements to enhance line efficiency and reliability.
Responsible for completing all SAP transactions related to Breakdown, Corrective Maintenance, and Preventive Maintenance Work Orders.

If the technician does not have an SAP login ID, escalation to the superior is required to resolve the issue.
If lacking SAP knowledge or experience, proactive escalation is required, and the superior must arrange appropriate training until competency is achieved.
Required to record 100% of working hours in SAP as evidence of work and complete Work Order documentation in accordance with MPF requirements.
The superior shall provide the necessary facilities and arrangements to enable accurate SAP time and activity reporting.
