Job description

Principal Responsibilities

• Provide technical pre‑sales support in articulating infrastructure design with in‑depth product knowledge on any of the given technologies (Data Centre, Collaboration, Network, and Security solutions).
• Drive solution sales by understanding clients’ technical needs and translating identified needs into solutions.
• Pre‑sales skill development on technologies of OEMs such as Cisco, Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Dell/EMC, HPE, VMware, F5 DNS, and/or LTM.
• Proposal preparation.
• RFQ/RFP tender pre‑sales support in a shared centre environment – ensuring timely response to all qualified RFPs and tenders from a solutions perspective to ensure bid submission.
• Communicate with internal or external stakeholders for requirement gathering using phone or collaboration tools.
• Listen and lead the discussion with the client for discovery of needs and information gathering.
• Document needs/requirements into solutions, validate with the client, and close off with a proposal while translating the client’s business needs into a technical solution.
• Craft an initial bill of material/configuration for complex solutions, identifying the suitable model to propose based on capacity and sizing features and the client’s IT environment needs.
• Understand the client’s current infrastructure environment and propose relevant solutions and technical services scope of work required for end‑to‑end implementation.
• Facilitate and lead complex solutioning; work with client principals, vendors, and internal teams, responsible for end‑to‑end integration and design.
• Estimate man‑days effort and craft a project implementation work‑breakdown structure, PM man‑days sizing, and timelines.
• Create network diagrams in Visio and prepare structured PowerPoint presentations translating business requirements into technical design.
• Adhere to the pre‑sales process and collaboration tools to communicate and deliver results.
• Perform self‑research on new products within the supported OEMs in response to every changing landscape of solution offering.

Experience and Skill Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• Years of experience: Freshers.
• Possess excellent technical sales and communications skills.
• Have a passion for new technologies and self‑motivated learning.
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel to consolidate complex bill of materials, design synchronization, and P&L management.
• Minimum one of the following deep skills in networking, data centre, security, or collaboration, and relevant professional certification(s) such as:
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) – required.
  • Nice to have: any of the following certifications:
    • Certified in Gartner’s leader solution in Networking, Data Centre Storage, Server, and Backup Solution (traditional infrastructure and hyper‑converged environment).
    • Certified in Gartner’s leader solution in Security.
    • Certified in Gartner’s leader solution in Collaboration (e.g., Cisco and Avaya).
