Tech Lead (Full Stack / System Architecture)

At BrandWriter, we’re building an AI-powered content platform that helps businesses communicate smarter and faster. As our product grows, we’re looking for a Tech Lead who can drive technical direction, guide engineering best practices, and mentor developers while shipping high-quality features at speed.

What You’ll Do

Technical Direction & Architecture

• Define engineering best practices, frameworks, coding standards, and development workflows.
• Make key decisions on system architecture, API design, database structure, and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate closely with Product & Design to translate requirements into technical designs.
• Evaluate and introduce new technologies, tools, and libraries where beneficial.

Feature Planning & Execution

• Break down large features into clear, manageable tasks:
  • Backend API development
  • Frontend UI components
  • Database migrations or schema changes
  • Integrations with 3rd-party services
  • DevOps / deployment requirements
• Oversee development from planning to deployment, ensuring technical feasibility and quality.

Code Quality & Reviews

• Set and maintain high coding standards across the team.
• Review pull requests for correctness, maintainability, performance, and security.
• Ensure our system remains scalable, stable, and optimized.

Team Leadership & Mentorship

• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers with guidance on architecture, code quality, and problem-solving.
• Help developers unblock technical challenges quickly.
• Foster a collaborative, fast-paced engineering culture.

DevOps & Deployment Oversight

• Work with DevOps to improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and monitoring.
• Ensure code is testable, deployable, and maintainable across environments.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software development with hands‑on expertise in Laravel (Backend) and React (Frontend).
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, database design, cloud services (AWS/Azure), and system architecture.
• Familiar with DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines, server monitoring, and environment management.
• Excellent communication skills — able to translate technical complexity into clear business and product understanding.
• Strong leadership capabilities in guiding engineers, reviewing code, and driving team‑wide technical standards.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with cross‑functional teams.

• Experience with mobile app development (iOS/Android or cross-platform).
• Background in scaling systems and optimizing performance.
