Job description

We are seeking experienced Team Leader to join our manufacturing operations in Merlimau, Melaka. As a Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in overseeing a team of production workers, ensuring efficient workflows and high-quality output. This is a full‑time position based on‑site at our facility.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of production workers.
• Monitor team performance and productivity, and implement strategies to optimise workflows.
• Provide hands‑on training and coaching to team members to develop their skills.
• Identify and resolve any operational issues or bottlenecks in a timely manner.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute production schedules.
• Provide regular progress reports to management.

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience as a Team Leader / Supervisor / Shift Lead in a manufacturing environment, especially heavy industry (foundry castings).
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate a team.
• Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control & resource management.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.

IMPORTANT:

• Ability to work collaboratively within a fast‑paced, dynamic team.
• Able to work on shift hours (3 shift pattern), 6 days work week (Mon‑Sat) but do not exceed 45 hours per week.

Qualification

Certificate or Diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Business Management (other types of Engineering / Technical disciplines will be considered).
