A leading energy industry service provider is seeking a Talent Acquisition Advisor based in Pasir Gudang, Malaysia. The successful candidate will build strong talent pipelines and support hiring needs, including conducting interviews and managing candidate pools. Requirements include a minimum of 5 years in Talent Acquisition, preferably in the O&G sector. JOB TITLE

Talent Acquisition Advisor

This role is based at site, working 6 days per week. (Monday-Saturday)

Responsibilities
  • Helping build strong talent pipelines for our Company’s current and future hiring needs.
  • Communicate regularly with the HRBP team to get a clear view of the Company’s hiring needs and organizational goals.
  • Support interview and selection procedures, including screening calls, assessments and in-person interviews.
  • Maintain regular reports on key talent acquisition metrics.
  • Prepare job descriptions and interview questions that reflect each position’s requirements.
  • Manage respective candidate pools to ensure qualified candidates remain engaged in current or future opportunities.
  • Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events as appropriate.
  • Foster long-term relationships with past applicants and potential candidates.
  • Proactively seek market intelligence to gain competitive advantage in attraction, assessment, and sourcing methodologies.
  • Suggest new ideas for improving recruitment activities.
  • Research recruitment trends in the O&G industry.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the Talent Acquisition coordination team in Chennai at all stages in the hiring lifecycle.
Essential Qualifications And Skills
  • Good understanding of recruitment practices in Malaysia.
  • Knowledge of standard hiring practices, recruitment metrics, interview techniques, and management systems and approaches.
  • Familiarity with social media, resume databases and professional networks.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, and able to handle multiple projects.
  • Have a keen eye for detail whilst being results-oriented and able to stay calm under pressure and in uncertainty.
  • Able to form strong connections with others, earning their trust, and hence being able to influence even the highest level of management in the business.
  • Proactive approach to HR and Talent Acquisition as a value-add function.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Talent Acquisition and Recruitment.
  • O&G / energy sector experience is preferred.
  • Having previously worked in a multinational organization would be an advantage.
  • Having worked alongside an HR Shared Service would be helpful.
