Job summary

A leading global consulting firm is seeking a Senior/Assistant Manager for their Global Trade Advisory (Customs) team in Penang, Malaysia. The ideal candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Taxation or Accounting with at least 3 years of experience in customs consulting. Requirements
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree from reputable universities with excellent academic results (minimum GPA 3.00), majoring in Taxation/Accounting/Fiscal Administration.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the customs field within a consulting environment, with strong knowledge of Indonesian customs regulations (including HS classification, customs valuation, and import/export procedures).
  • Experience advising on customs facility schemes (e.g., KITE, bonded zones), reviewing import/export documentation, and supporting customs audits or objections/appeals.
  • Familiarity with CEISA and related customs systems/workflows.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, including strong presentation abilities.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical, advisory, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-moving and demanding environment.
  • Strong commitment, good interpersonal skills, capable of multi-tasking, and a solid team player.
  • Possession of a customs expert certificate is preferred.
