Job summary

A leading technology company in Johor, Malaysia is seeking an experienced professional to develop and manage programs for SMT mounting machines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal machine performance, monitoring production quality, and conducting maintenance. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science and at least 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly with FUJI SMT machines. Proficiency in Mandarin/Chinese and Microsoft Excel is essential.

Job description

Develop and create new programs for SMT mounting machines.

Perform SMT line changeover, including Printer, SIP, Mounter, Reflow Soldering, and AOI machines.

Monitor on-site production quality and implement continuous improvement actions.

Conduct routine and corrective maintenance for SMT machines to ensure optimal performance.

Prepare and update SMT process and product Work Instructions (WI).

Follow up and support system audits and customer audits, including preparation of relevant documentation.

Analyze SMT process issues and propose effective technical solutions.

Support cross‑functional teams to improve production efficiency and yield.

Duties and Responsibilities

Job Requirements

A. Qualification Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

B. Experience Required

• Minimum 2 years of working experience in a manufacturing environment or related industry.
• Proficient in operating FUJI NXT or XPF SMT machines, with the ability to independently perform line changeover.
• Strong knowledge of SMT processes with proven experience in quality improvement and efficiency enhancement.

C. Skills

• Familiar with FUJI Flexa system (Fujiflexa).
• Competent in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Able to communicate in Mandarin/Chinese (for coordination with machine suppliers and internal teams).
