Job description

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end supply chain operations, including Purchasing, Warehouse, Material Planning, Production Planning and Logistics, to ensure efficient material flow, cost optimization, on-time delivery and alignment with production and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
1. Supply Chain & Planning

Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with production plans, customer demand and business objectives.

Ensure effective coordination between material planning, production planning and procurement to avoid shortages or excess inventory.

Monitor demand forecasts and translate them into material and production plans.

Oversee purchasing activities, including sourcing, negotiation and supplier selection.

Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, components and consumables at optimal cost and quality.

Evaluate supplier performance for cost, quality and delivery and manage supplier relationships.

Implement cost-saving initiatives and alternative sourcing strategies.

3. Material Planning & Production Planning

Manage material planning to ensure material availability for production schedules.

Oversee production planning to optimize capacity utilization and meet delivery timelines.

Coordinate closely with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to support smooth manufacturing operations.

Address material shortages, delays or planning issues promptly.

4. Warehouse Management

Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control and issuance of materials.

Ensure inventory accuracy, FIFO compliance and proper stock management.

Implement inventory control measures to minimize obsolete, slow-moving or excess stock.

Ensure warehouse operations comply with safety, quality and company standards.

5. Logistics & Distribution

Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including local and overseas shipments.

Coordinate with logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.

Ensure proper documentation and compliance with customs, shipping and regulatory requirements.

Monitor logistics costs and delivery performance.

6. Cost Control & Performance Monitoring

Monitor and control supply chain costs, including material, logistics and inventory holding costs.

Establish KPIs for supply chain performance (OTD, inventory turnover, supplier performance)

Prepare and present regular reports to management on supply chain performance and improvement plans.

Lead, coach and develop supply chain team members across departments.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain processes and systems.

Support ERP system implementation and improvements.

Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and ISO / quality requirements.

Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering or related field.

Minimum 8 years of experience in supply chain management within OEM / manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of purchasing, planning, warehouse and logistics operations.

Experience with ERP / SAP systems.

Strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Good leadership, communication and cross-functional coordination skills.

Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
