Job Description
We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Supply Chain Executive with a strong passion for the purchasing function in an international trading environment. The ideal candidate will have several years of relevant working experience or a solid academic background in supply chain, logistics, business, or related disciplines. This role requires close coordination with suppliers, freight forwarders, logistic providers, warehouse teams, and the operations team to ensure smooth and efficient supply chain operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Order processing
- Manage local and overseas purchase orders, including PO issuance, goods receiving and system updating.
- Monitor and update delivery schedules to ensure on-time fulfilment.
- Stock planning & inventory control
- Assist in planning and monitoring inventory levels, including slow-moving and aging stock.
- Implement stock planning measures to ensure optimal stock availability and minimise stock-outs or excess.
- Forwarding, freight & customs
- Coordinate shipment planning with forwarding agents, freight and logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Handle shipping and trade documents such as BL, LC and customs forms, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Warehouse coordination
- Work closely with the warehouse and operations teams on inbound and outbound activities.
- Resolve day-to-day issues to ensure smooth warehouse operations and accurate stock transactions.
- Coordination & documentation
- Arrange and follow up on receiving schedules with internal and external parties.
- Prepare and manage shipment documents such as Commercial Invoice (CI), Proforma Invoice (PI), BL, MSDS, and Certificate of Analysis (COA).
- Supplier relationship management
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with local and overseas suppliers.
- Liaise with suppliers and the Sales Team to resolve delivery, quality, or documentation issues promptly.
- Reporting & analysis
- Prepare and analyse purchasing trends and stock movement reports.
- Provide data and insights to support business and management decision-making.
