Job summary

A leading technology firm in Malaysia is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure key supplier performance within a dynamic manufacturing setting. Responsibilities include leading supplier quality efforts, resolving product nonconformances, and implementing effective process control systems. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and at least 5 years of quality engineering experience. Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or Technical Field; or at least 5 years in a Quality Engineering capacity in a manufacturing environment.
• Hard goods manufacturing experience with emphasis in electro-mechanical assembly and Machining/Metal Fab industries.
• Knowledge of common quality tools/methodologies.
• Proven effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced computer skills, including statistical/data analysis and report writing.

Responsibilities

• Leads all efforts focused on supplier quality performance within Ichor Supply Chain.
• Drive investigation, resolution and prevention of supplier product and process nonconformances.
• Identify and implement effective supplier process control systems to support development, qualification, and on-going manufacturing.
• Assist in the implementation of process controls and CAPA systems designed to meet or exceed requirements.
• Communicates quality issues and overall performance levels with suppliers.
• Support completion and maintenance of risk analysis with suppliers.
• Support design engineering in the completion of product verification and validation within the supply chain.
• Owns supplier quality function metrics and communications supplier performance internally.
• Support all assigned initiatives identified by management in the improvement of Ichor Supply Chain.
