Job summary

A logistics and shipping company is seeking a skilled maintenance operator in Johor Bahru to manage electrical, mechanical, and civil facilities. Responsibilities include maintenance of LV electrical systems, support for ventilation and pumps, compliance checks, and contractor supervision. Candidates should have 1–3 years of related experience and strong safety awareness. The position involves working across multiple sites in Pasir Gudang and Port Tanjung Pelepas.

Qualifications

• Proficient in supervising contractors.

Job description

Electrical Systems (A0 Scope) - Operate and maintain LV electrical systems (≤415V). Perform inspections, fault response, and preventive maintenance - Ensure compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga regulations

Mechanical Systems - Support PPM for ventilation fans, pumps, dock equipment - Report abnormalities and coordinate contractors

Civil & Building Maintenance - Inspect floors, roofing, walls, drainage, doors, fencing - Identify defects and coordinate rectification

Fire Protection System (FPS) Support Scope - Support inspection of fire alarm, sprinklers, hydrant, hose reel, extinguishers - Ensure BOMBA compliance readiness - Coordinate fire contractors and support fire drills

Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) - Execute and record PPM for all facility systems - Support shutdowns and testing

Compliance & Audit Support - Support audits by ST, BOMBA, DOSH, and internal teams. Ensure safety, PPE, and housekeeping compliance

Contractor & Operations Support - Supervise contractors and enforce PTW and safety rules

Job Requirements

Minimum 1–3 years' experience in warehouse or facility management

Knowledge of electrical, mechanical and civil systems

Skills & Competencies: Strong safety awareness and troubleshooting and coordination skills

Must be able to take charge of few sites under Johor (Pasir Gudang & Port Tanjung Pelepas)
