A leading industrial company in Malaysia seeks a Manager/Assistant Manager for HR focusing on Total Rewards and Industrial Relations. Ideal candidates should have 5–8 years of experience in unionised manufacturing, strong analytical and communication skills, and a firm grasp of Malaysian Labour Laws. Responsibilities include conducting salary benchmarking, overseeing grievance processes, and ensuring compliance with HR policies. This role requires a resilient professional with proven negotiation skills and the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of experience in HR, especially in unionised environments.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Firm grasp of Malaysian Labour Laws.
  • High emotional intelligence with a balanced approach.
  • Exceptional communication with factory workers and management.
  • Resilient personality with negotiation capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct annual salary and benefits benchmarking.
  • Lead execution of salary reviews and bonuses.
  • Design salary structures and benefit programmes.
  • Foster relationships with Union representatives.
  • Oversee grievance process and Domestic Inquiries.
  • Ensure company policies are compliant with laws.
  • Prepare manpower cost analyses and productivity reports.
