Job summary

A leading educational organization seeks a GL Accountant in Kuala Lumpur to manage financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. The successful candidate will prepare monthly accounts, provide insights to leadership, and supervise finance team members. Candidates should have a degree in Accounting or Finance, 5-8 years of experience, and a strong knowledge of IFRS/MFRS. Qualifications

• 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience, with substantial experience in a senior GL.
• Exposure to MNCs or a Top-tier/Big 4 Audit Firm.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Deliver management reports on enrolment impact and operating expenses.
• Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with school leaders.

Skills

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Leadership experience

Financial analysis

Technical knowledge of IFRS/MFRS

Reporting processes improvement

Education

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
