Assist in developing and implementing industrial relations strategies, including preparing for collective bargaining negotiations, analyzing labor market trends, and researching best practices in labor relations.

In your new role you will:

  • Stay updated on labor laws and regulations, ensuring company policies and practices remain compliant through analysis of legal precedents and by advising HR staff and management.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment by promoting open communication, addressing employee concerns, and facilitating the fair and timely resolution of workplace grievances and conflicts.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and databases related to industrial relations, including employee data, labor relations metrics, and compliance tracking to support strategic decision‑making.
  • Assist in administering HR policies and procedures related to industrial relations, ensuring alignment with current labor laws and company objectives.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge of industrial relations, labor laws, and related areas, and support the development of other HR team members.
  • Support ad‑hoc Employee Relations (ER) team activities, including coordination and participation in ER events.
Your Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in any field, preferably in Human Resources.
  • Minimum of 5 years of general HR experience, with proven exposure to managing union and industrial relations (IR) matters.
  • Strong knowledge and practical application of Labour and Employment Laws.
  • Excellent communication, grievance and complaint resolution, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Highly organized, resilient, and effective in managing multiple priorities.
