Staff Product Engineer is responsible for leading and supporting product development activities, product improvement initiatives and engineering activities across business. Work closely with cross-functional team including production and quality with strong technical expertise, hands-on problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-quality, reliable products to ensure our products meet performance, reliability and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and drive technical evaluation, review engineering designs, and ensure product compliance with performance, reliability, and safety requirements.
- Serve as senior technical resources, provide guidance to engineers and support team in troubleshooting, testing, documentation, and engineering methods.
- Deliver advanced technical support to production operations, including assembly processes, yield improvement, and the resolution of complex manufacturing issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis for complex product failures and lead implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with Quality and Production teams on reliability testing, product qualification, compliance audits and ISO documentation activities.
- Lead cross-functional engineering projects and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and R&D partners to drive technical improvements.
- Manage project timelines, risks, and resource planning.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience or more in product engineering, R&D, or manufacturing engineering.
- Strong technical knowledge of electronic systems, PCB concepts, and/or electromechanical assemblies.
- Proven track record supporting in solving complex engineering problems and leading cross-functional teams.
- Proactive, independent, and able to make sound technical decisions. Strong understanding of electronics/PCB assemblies, High Level Assembly (HLA) and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation accurately
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical finding clearly and concisely to different level of the organizations
- Strong attention to detail; good organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a structured, data-driven approach.
- Self-driven, proactive and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with utility locating, survey, or industrial electronic products is added advantage.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, product safety standards, EMC/EMI testing, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with data tools / reporting.
