Job description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop, optimize, and sustain SMT and mechanical assembly process. Focus on laser soldering and selective wave soldering processes.
  • Lead process characterization, DOE, and root cause analysis for yield and quality improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and quality to support NPI and mass production.
  • Evaluate and implement new equipment, tooling, and process technologies.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, control plans, and FMEAs.
  • Provide technical training and guidance to production and engineering teams.
  • Monitor process KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support customer audits and technical reviews.
  • Drive for process cpk improvement to meet cpk goal of >1.67 and stretch goal of >2.0.
  • Drive for process yield FPY improvement to meet >99.5%.
  • Define process troubleshoot procedure for manufacturing with all process triggered alarm or process trouble shooting OCAPs available and OCAP effectives are validated.
Qualifications

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Manufacturing Engineering or any equivalent.
  • Minimum 4 years of hands‑on experience in semiconductor manufacturing process field.

Required:

  • Knowledge of soldering principles, flux chemistry, thermal profiling, and IPC standards.
  • Proficient in DOE, SPC, FMEA, and root cause analysis tools (e.g., 8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys).
  • Experience with automation, vision inspection systems, and process control software is a plus.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead cross‑functional teams.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification is an advantage.
Skills
  • Laser soldering and/or selective wave soldering processes will add advantage.
