They are currently seeking an experienced Finance Team Lead to build the finance function from the ground up. This strategic role involves designing processes, implementing systems, and leading initially a small team to deliver best-in-class finance operations.

They are expanding their footprint in Malaysia by establishing a Shared Services Centre (SSC) to centralise and optimise finance operations for their regional and global business units.

Description

We are seeking an experienced SSC Finance Team Lead to build the finance function from the ground up. Your duties may include;

  • Lead and manage the shared services finance team to ensure efficient operations.
  • Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimise financial processes and systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to senior management for decision‑making.
  • Monitor and manage financial risks, ensuring robust internal controls are in place.
  • Support audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
Profile

A successful SSC Finance Team Lead should have:

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience leading a finance team within a Shared Service environment (ideally from start up stage)
  • Professional accounting qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting and compliance standards.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools.
