Summary

The Senior Training Coordinator role is responsible for the effective coordination, execution, and continuous improvement of training programs across the plant. This position ensures employees are properly onboarded, qualified, and supported in achieving job competency, while maintaining audit‑ready documentation and training systems.

The role incorporates execution and advanced coordination & leadership responsibilities, including LMS administration, shop‑floor training logistics, skill matrix maintenance, qualification assessments, content updates, digital lean tasks, cross‑shift coordination, and support for the Learning & Development Pillar. The Combined Coordinator serves as the primary operational anchor of the plant’s training ecosystem.

Training Coordination, Onboarding & Execution
  • Coordinate onboarding programs with HR, QRC, Safety, Operations, and Administration.
  • Lead coordination of all plant training activities: scheduling, invites, resources, attendance, session closures.
  • Conduct daily/weekly/monthly trainee check‑ins and communicate trainee progress to Supervisors and Frontline Leaders.
  • Ensure training rooms, digital labs, and equipment are ready and functioning.
  • Facilitate or assist in New Employee Orientation (NEO) and selected standard training modules.
  • Maintain plant‑wide training calendars and prevent scheduling conflicts.
  • Track trainee movements, line assignments, and rescheduling needs.
LMS Administration, Documentation & Compliance
  • Serve as LMS administrator: course creation, assignments, attendance, completions, overdue tracking.
  • Maintain accurate skill matrices, training logs, SUC/step‑up cards, and shift qualification records.
  • Update learning plans, overdue lists, and compliance reports.
  • Ensure training documentation is audit‑ready for internal, corporate, regulatory, FSSC, and customer audits.
  • Maintain structured filing systems (SharePoint, Standard Work archives, training records).
  • Provide compliance tracking for mandatory certifications (Quality & Food Safety Allergens, HALAL, Safety).
Qualification Evaluation, Content Updating & Digital Learning Support
  • Conduct qualification evaluations to assess operator skill endorsement levels.
  • Create or update training content such as WI, OPLs, Job Aids, Skills, and Qualification Evaluations.
  • Capture photos and video for training material development using mobile or tablet devices.
  • Support digital lean implementation: digital audits, password support, content uploads.
  • Partner with SMEs, Dedicated Trainers, and Training Specialists on content standardization and updates.
  • Maintain and refresh training books, digital modules, and microlearning content.
Coaching, Mentoring & Continuous Improvement
  • Mentor and support trainers, providing guidance, quality checks, and prioritization.
  • Conduct shadowing sessions, refresher coaching, and skill evaluations to uplift trainer capability.
  • Support L&D Pillar activities by helping track KPIs, documentation, and maturity requirements.
  • Identify training process gaps and recommend improvements to the Training Specialist (1B) and Sr. Manager QRC.
  • Support L&D Pillar activities to improve KPIs and maturity progression.
  • Uphold a positive learning environment on the plant floor and coach trainees with professionalism.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Technical, or relevant manufacturing field.
  • 4–6 years’ experience in training coordination or operations training in manufacturing.
  • Experience as a Training Coordinator is preferred.
  • Train-the-Trainer, Job Instruction, or HRD Corp certifications are advantageous.
  • Experience with training evaluations and operator qualification systems is preferred.
